Coaching for leaders and decision makers

Clear values,clear decisions.

Most people believe real change as a leader takes months. You need five focused hours over six weeks to get real clarity on your values, your goals and your communication.

5 hoursinstead of endless programs
6 weekswith a clear start and finish
Since 2020Coach and mentor for leaders

The situation

You decide with confidence for others. For yourself, that same clarity is missing.

The leaders who come to me are strong at what they do and respected in their companies. And still, there is this one area where everything stays blurry.

01

You function. And somewhere between your role, your calendar and your family, the feeling of why you are doing all this got lost.

02

You sense that something is off. You do not have a name for it yet, and that is exactly what makes it so hard to change.

03

You do not consciously know your values. So you decide by logic, by expectation, by habit, and rarely by what actually matters to you.

04

Your messages land differently than you intend them to. With your team, in conversations with your own manager, at home.

05

Work and personal life keep getting in each other's way. You wonder if this either or really has to exist.

06

The next step is coming up. And you are not sure if it is really yours, or just the next logical one.

My approach

Real change does not take months.

What everyone believes
Real change as a leader needs a long program. Six or twelve months, many sessions, carefully built up.
What actually happens
Those same leaders are often still sitting with the same doubts in month eight as in week one, just with a much longer bill.
The truth
You do not need months. You need five focused hours over six weeks to get real, lasting clarity on your values, your goals and your communication.
What that means
That is why I do not offer an endless program. After it, you decide and act on your own, clearly, from your own values.

The reason is simple: you already carry everything in you that you need. Sometimes only the access to those resources is missing. Coaching does not build anything new, it uncovers what is already there. And uncovering is faster than building.

The offer

Five sessions. Six weeks. One clear outcome.

Every session builds on the last one. By the end, you have prioritized your values, defined your goals, sharpened your communication, taken charge of your state management, and have solved your biggest current problem.

The direct path

Clarity in six weeks

5 sessions of 60 minutes  ·  Online  ·  1:1

  1. 01Your valuesWe identify and prioritize your values. From here on, you know why you decide the way you decide in a given situation.
  2. 02Your goalsWe define your goals and make them tangible, aligned with what actually matters to you.
  3. 03Your communicationYou learn what really matters in your communication, so your message lands the way you mean it.
  4. 04Your state managementYou learn to actively recognize your current state and shift it in a positive direction, so you stay resourceful, even in difficult situations.
  5. 05Your biggest issueWe solve your biggest current problem, using everything you learned about yourself in the weeks before.

About me

The evening my legs gave out.

There was a time when, on the outside, I was exactly what a managing director is supposed to be. Resilient, decisive, always one step ahead. I was convinced that strength meant never questioning yourself. I held on to a difficult business relationship long after it had quietly worn me down. I did not know back then that I was acting against my own values. I did not even know them consciously. I simply functioned.

The price for that did not arrive as a clear thought. It arrived as mental exhaustion, and eventually as a physical symptom. I explained the warning signs away, again and again, because I believed a good managing director simply pushes through.

The moment that changed everything did not happen in a meeting. It happened on the way to my child's bedroom, on an entirely ordinary evening. My legs gave out under me. Not because of an illness. Because of a business relationship and a role that no longer matched who I wanted to be.

I ended the business relationship and stepped down as managing director and shareholder of the company. By the next day, every symptom was gone. I felt free, clear and safe, for the first time in a long while.

A little later I started a coaching certification and learned a method for identifying and prioritizing my own values. Only then did it become fully clear to me why I had felt the way I felt during that time. My values had been my compass the entire time, and I simply had not been reading it.

When we decide against our own values, the body eventually pays the bill that the mind chose to ignore for a long time.

Today I work with leaders and decision makers exactly at this point, before their legs actually give out. Not over months, but in a few focused hours, in which we make visible what has been there in them all along. Their own values, clearly prioritized, as a compass for every decision still to come.

When I am not coaching, I spend time with my family and our two Australian Shepherds. Travel, sport and photography give me balance.

Voices

What leaders say about working together.

The biggest value for me was consciously writing down my own path, with my goals, values and vision, and sharing it with family and friends. That did not just create clarity, it also created connection. Through the coaching I understood how important it is to actively make decisions, for myself, my path and my role. That insight still helps me a great deal today, including in a professional context. Your calm and empathetic manner made a big difference, relaxed and at the same time clear and purposeful. I can recommend working with you to any young leader as well as to established C-level leaders who want to reflect and grow.

Alexander HeinzeAlexander HeinzeChief Operating Officer, HDNET

I have had several coaching sessions with Thorben so far and can recommend him with a completely clear conscience. In particular, the exercises and the understanding around the topic of values helped me rediscover a sense of balance that I had lost over the past years, both in my private life and professionally. I also learned how to handle triggers! Many thanks for that, Thorben!

Johannes WeberJohannes WeberCOO, Renderpeople GmbH

Thorben’s coaching gave me great confidence in my own leadership style and security for the first steps in my new role. The mindset “the one who asks, leads” shaped me in particular. It still helps me today to approach conversations and challenges in a solution focused way. My biggest growth happened in self leadership and team leadership. Thorben’s input still stays with me in my everyday leadership work.

Philipp ReiberPhilipp ReiberHead of Marketing, Wikando GmbH

In coaching with Thorben I felt truly taken care of and finally understood. I had felt inwardly dissatisfied for quite a while, was confused, and had lost touch with myself. Through the coaching I found my way back to myself. I took action the very next day and have since found my dream job. The newly gained perspective paid off immediately. I am very grateful to Thorben for every insight and for all the knowledge he shares so openly and honestly.

Denise DudatDenise DudatHead of Department, Vejle, Denmark

I found working with Thorben as a coach very pleasant, and through him I learned the fundamentals of coaching. I found the action learning sets he skillfully facilitated especially valuable. I would recommend Thorben at any time as a coach for people who can benefit from guided self reflection, including in a business context.

Case examples

How everyday leadership changes.

IT Team Lead, anonymized

A newly promoted team lead felt torn between hands-on work and leadership duties. In coaching it became visible which of his values was constantly being violated by that. He learned to delegate clearly and to hand off responsibility. Within a few weeks he described his role as clear and motivating, and his team felt the relief.

Marketing Lead, anonymized

A marketing leader struggled to bring up feedback openly. Through focused work on her communication she gained confidence in conversations and quickly noticed that her team experienced feedback as helpful and motivating. Today she describes her conversations as clear, honest and constructive.

Frequently asked questions

What leaders want to know beforehand.

Yes, and the reason lies in the core assumption I work from: you already carry everything in you that you need. We do not build anything new, we uncover what is already there. In my coaching so far, the breakthrough almost never came in month six, it came in individual focused sessions. The package deliberately bundles exactly those leverage moments back to back.
The complete package, five sessions over six weeks including prep sheets and WhatsApp support, costs €1,900 incl. VAT. A single 60 minute session costs €300 incl. VAT. The intro call itself is free and comes with no obligation.
Plan for about twenty to thirty minutes a week for the prep sheet. It helps you reflect on the last session and prepare for the next one. That short amount of time is exactly what makes every hour build directly on the last.
In the intro call we clarify your situation and your goals, in about thirty minutes. After that we schedule the five sessions over six weeks, fitted to your everyday life. Every session lasts sixty minutes and runs online, so you can join from anywhere.
Often as early as the first or second session, because you leave with concrete clarity and next steps right away. The work on your values usually has an immediate effect, because it explains why you feel the way you feel in certain situations.
Yes. Absolute confidentiality is the foundation of our work together. Everything stays between you and me, even if your company is paying for the coaching.
This is coaching. We work on your present and your future, on values, goals, communication and concrete situations from your everyday life. Therapy treats clinical conditions and belongs in the hands of qualified professionals. If it becomes clear during our conversation that you need therapeutic support, I will tell you openly.
That is what the WhatsApp support is for. I answer quick questions within 24 hours on business days. For bigger topics that come up in between, there is the option of an additional 1:1 session.
No. The process is deliberately built to start with your values. From there, your actual topic almost always surfaces on its own, even if you could not have named it beforehand.
Then you decide and act on your own, and that is exactly the goal. If you want to work on one specific topic again later, the 1:1 coaching is there for you.

Your next step

Book your intro call.

In thirty minutes we clarify your current situation and your goals. You walk away with clarity on whether and how I can support you. If you feel today that something is off, and you do not have a name for it yet, that is often already the first sign that it is time to take a look at your own values.
